Claudia Collections B.V. operates Vintage Design Center Zandhoven at Ringlaan 134. It is an approachable shop-sized setting, not an anonymous hall: collections share one address while every participant remains visible.
The premises were the Van Beirendonck family garage; the adjoining, now-empty house was Walter Van Beirendonck’s former home. That local history is part of the building’s story, without suggesting any formal involvement by the designer.
Furniture and lighting can sit beside dinnerware, hi-fi, vinyl, art, craft, colourful counterculture and a touch of playful glamour. The point is not one approved style, but the pleasure of seeing good objects in company.
Participants choose their own objects and remain responsible for condition, description, ownership and price. Zandhoven encourages sound pieces, honest information and a presentation that gives each object room to be understood.
New stock, small focus presentations, temporary participants and events can refresh the visit without turning the location into something larger or grander than it is.
