These terms are the general framework for the Vintage Design Center website and sales routes. The product page, checkout and confirmation identify the seller and the conditions for the specific object. Mandatory consumer rights always remain in force.
Claudia Collections B.V. operates this website from Ringlaan 134, 2240 Zandhoven, Belgium (BE 0717.627.675). Vintage Design Center may offer objects sold by Claudia Collections B.V. or by independent professional or private participants. The actual seller and status are shown before purchase.
Vintage objects are usually unique and used. Images, dimensions, material, known provenance, restoration, operation and condition are described with reasonable care. Ordinary signs of age are not a new-product defect, but known damage or limitations must not be hidden. Ask decisive questions before purchase.
The published price states the applicable VAT treatment where required. Delivery, transport, installation or other optional services are shown or quoted separately before ordering. Participant fees are not later added to the buyer unless a service was expressly selected.
An enquiry, favourite or shortlist reserves nothing. A hold exists only after the object and expiry time are confirmed. An online order is received when confirmation is sent; if automated availability proves wrong, the order is cancelled and fully refunded as soon as possible.
Online payments use Stripe; physical Center payments use SumUp. At the Center the customer makes one payment. Provider fees and internal settlement with a participant do not change the buyer’s price or statutory rights. Card data is handled through the provider’s secured process.
Confirmation states the collection place and period, authorised collector and any delivery agreement. Check access dimensions for large objects. Furniture or fragile-item transport becomes final only after a suitable quote. Ownership, risk and handover follow mandatory law and the confirmed arrangement.
Where a consumer buys at a distance from a professional seller, a 14-day withdrawal period normally runs from receipt, subject to statutory exceptions. Confirmation explains how to withdraw and who bears direct return costs. For large objects, a reasonable estimate or calculation method is given before purchase. A private-seller purchase does not automatically carry the same right.
Give an unambiguous withdrawal notice in time and handle the object only as needed to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Refund timing and conditions follow the law; permitted loss of value may be deducted for handling beyond that. Report defects or transport damage promptly with the object reference and photographs.
A professional seller remains responsible for statutory conformity applying to the transaction. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Send complaints to info@vintagedesigncenter.com with order number and desired solution; we will confirm who owns the case.
Belgian law applies insofar as mandatory consumer rules in the buyer’s country do not prevail. Courts are competent under applicable law. A specific confirmation or signed agreement prevails where it expressly and lawfully differs. New terms do not apply retrospectively to completed orders.
